A word from the founder
I love to train. Always have, and always will. Though my early school teachers may contend otherwise, I love to learn. I also love to help people! So for my path in life, the math part of this equation is pretty obvious.
The Dalai Lama says that the ultimate purpose of human life is to seek a happiness. That makes sense to me. We are only here for a relatively short time in which there is so much to see and do. Having a body that is strong and fit enough to engage in diverse physical tasks over varying lengths of time, would seem to be important to be able to live life to its fullest.
The passage of time frequently instills doubt and weakness in the minds of ordinary people who could otherwise be great. Great at what you might ask? At whatever they choose!
In my experience as a trainer and coach over the last 20+ years, I have found that highly demanding physical training often produces radical shifts in thinking, self-confidence, and character, in addition to favourable changes in strength, work capacity, and body composition.
The result of the changes to body and mind provides a well-tuned vehicle for a healthy, happy life.
PhysXtreme CrossFit gym is a place where these changes happen day in and day out. It’s a place where people share what they have learned and continue to grow together. It’s a place where I get to share what I’ve learned, and keep learning from the amazing interactions and relationships I develop with my members.
I know every one of my members by name, and it’s not by accident. It’s merely a result of how important I feel it is to make a personal connection with every person who comes through the doors of PhysXtreme.
In closing, if you know that you’re destined to be more than you are today, I invite you to discover the real-life warrior that resides within you.
